Works on ALL Android phones. Your photos, contacts, and data back up to your Google Account automatically. Google gives you 15GB free.

Samsung phones ONLY. Backs up your gallery and Samsung-specific data separately from Google.

If you have Amazon Prime — you already have unlimited photo storage FREE. Works on any phone.

What's physically built into your phone — 64GB, 128GB, 256GB. Think of it like your house.

The invisible backup in the sky. Think of it like a storage unit down the street. Google gives you 15GB free.

Many Android phones have a tiny slot on the side where you can add a Micro SD card for more storage. It's like adding a spare room to your house for $10-30. iPhone does NOT have this option.

Just the NAME of your WiFi network. Check the sticker on the back or bottom of your router — the name AND password are printed right on it.

Also on that router sticker. Write it here so when your grandkids ask — you actually know it. 😄

Internet Provider — who you pay for home WiFi. Examples: Spectrum, Xfinity, AT&T Fiber. Separate bill from your phone.

Phone Carrier — who you pay for cell service. Examples: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile. Different section of your card.

The number you call when your home internet goes out. Write it here so you're not Googling it when you have no internet. 😄

The person you trust most to help if something goes wrong — a daughter, son, grandchild, neighbor, or close friend. Write their name, email, and phone number.

Your account number and PIN are how your carrier identifies your account. You'll need these if you ever switch carriers or verify your identity when calling customer service.

Device insurance covers your phone if it's lost, stolen, or accidentally damaged. You might have it through your carrier or a third party like Asurion or SquareTrade.

The number you call to file a claim if your phone is lost, stolen, or broken. Write it here before you need it.

Your phone's unique fingerprint — a 15-digit number that belongs to your phone only. If your phone is ever lost or stolen, your carrier can use this to track or block it.

If you ever switch phone companies and want to keep your same number — you need your Account Number AND your Port PIN. Call your current carrier BEFORE switching.

USB-C — the small rounded rectangle. Used on most modern Android phones — Samsung, Google Pixel, newer Motorola.

Micro USB — slightly larger, flat bottom. Used on older Android phones.

Step 1 — Open Google Photos. Sign in with your Google account.

Step 2 — Tap your profile picture → Photo settings → Backup → toggle ON

Step 3 — Connect to WiFi, plug in to charge, and wait for the upload to complete.

Step 4 — Free up storage: tap your profile picture → Free up space → confirm.

Settings → Accounts and Backup → Samsung Cloud → Sync settings → Gallery ON → Back up now

Google's assistant is built right into your Android phone. The older version is called Google Assistant (colored dots) and the newer version is Gemini (sparkle star). They do the same things — Gemini is just smarter.

Say "Hey Google" or press and hold the home button.

If you have a Samsung phone, Bixby comes pre-installed. It's Samsung's own AI assistant that knows your Samsung apps really well.

Say "Hey Bixby" or press and hold the Bixby button on the side of your Samsung phone.

Alexa is Amazon's assistant — the blue ring on Echo devices. Alexa also lives on your Android phone via a free app. Control your smart home, check Amazon orders, set reminders and more.

One of the most popular AI assistants in the world. Excellent at explaining things in plain language, helping you write emails, and answering complex questions with detailed answers.

Claude is made by Anthropic and is known for being especially thoughtful and thorough. Great for explaining complicated things simply, helping you think through decisions, and having nuanced conversations.
